Bimbha Dewi or Yashodara
බිම්බා දේවි හෙවත් යශෝධරා වනාහි මේ විශ්වයේ පහල වූ වනිතා ශ්රේෂ්ටාව ලෙස සකල ලෝකවාසී බෞද්ධ ජනතාවගේ ගෞරවාදරයට පාත්ර වූ යශෝධරා දේවිය පිලිබඳ සිනමා කෘතියකි.
සිද්ධාර්ථ චරිතය සහ බුද්ධ චරිතය අලලා පෙර අපර දෙදිග රටවල බොහෝ සිනමා කෘති නිර්මාණය වී ඇතත් යශෝධරා පිලිබඳ සිනමා නිර්මාණය දුර්ලභය. එබැවින් මේ තාක් නිෂ්පාදිත බෞද්ධ චිත්රපට අතර අපගේ චිත්රපටය සුවිශේෂත්වයක් දරන්නේය.
Prof. Sunil Ariyaratne has returned to filmmaking directing his 22nd film "Bimbhadevi" alias "Yashodhara", the story of the beloved wife of Siddhartha. The titles roles of Siddhartha and Yashodhara is played by two Indian stars A. Chowdhury and Pallavi Subash.Last week the two Indian stars were in Colombo together with the director Prof. Ariyaratne and producer H. D. Premasiri.
